[Update] ‘The Legend of the Blue Sea’ new tops 20% viewership

SBS new fantasy romance drama "The Legend of the Blue Sea,” reaching as high as 20.7 percent for certain scenes, according to Nielsen Korea on Thursday.

MBC’s “Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-Joo” and KBS2 show “Oh My Geum Bi,”which premiered Wednesday, recorded 3.3 percent and 5.9 percent ranked third .

"The Legend of the Blue Sea", is a romantic fantasy that speaks of the last siren (Joseon Dynasty (1392-1910) )by screenwriter Park Ji-eun, who wrote the script for Jun's last TV work "My Love from the Star" . Starring actors Jun Ji-hyun and Lee Min-ho, the new SBS drama is a modern-day adaptation of the Joseon era legend about a fisherman’s encounter with a mermaid.

The scene that got 20.7% of audience (above) ... find when the Dam Ryung (Lee Min Ho) abroad, he meets a strange woman (Jun Jihyun), he is believed to be in the host's village thieves, after lively happening.

According to media ratings agency Nielsen Korea, on December 1 of the sixth episode of the legend of the Blue Ocean , Viewership nationwide reached 18.9% and hit up 2.1% with the fifth episode, not only continue to higher assessment, also breaking highest ratings recorded.
